Dante, a New Cafe and Breakfast Spot for E. Passyunk

Photo: Passyunk Post

A new East Passyunk cafe is on its way in just a few weeks, reports the Passyunk Post. Dante — which will serve breakfast with a diner-like range, in addition to sandwiches and salads later in the day — is replacing the old Metro Men's clothing shop (which moved nearby last fall). Soft opening is expected to start on Saturday, April 5, with everything fully up and running around mid-month.

The Post has a tentative menu, which includes a full slate for breakfast from eggs to pancakes to "Italian grits" to chicken biscuits. Sandwiches cover burgers, steaks, chicken cutlets, and more, including a couple of vegetarian options. Coffee will be La Colombe. Owner Pasquale DiGiulio says delivery will be available, and hours should be roughly 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
