NEW YORK CITY — The reboot of New York's legendary Tavern on the Green (now in the care of Philly-based restaurateurs Jim Caiola and David Salama, of Creperie Beau Monde) is finally on the brink of opening. Eater NY has gorgeous photos of the interior — which, in one commenter's approving estimation, calls to mind "elegant horse stables." [-ENY-]
MARKET EAST — The Franklin Flea returns this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, April 19 in the old Strawbridge's building. (The Flea will move outside in late May.) As with past seasons, there will be food trucks on hand and some prepared-foods vendors — but this week's market will also debut the Franklin Stove, whose rotating cast of chefs and restaurants will kick off with High Street on Market. U CITY — Carina Tea and Waffles opened this week in the International House. In addition to the obvious, they've got Counter Culture coffee and bubble tea. [Philly.com]
