Looks like your summers down the shore are headed outta bounds: Famously flip-flopped food personality Guy Fieri has four more restaurants in the works, one of which will land in Atlantic City. Fieri earlier told the Las Vegas Sun that he planned to open in "Atlantic City this summer." (He also mentions a project in Baltimore.) "One's a steakhouse, one's a Mexican theme," he went on, without specifying which concept would go where.
This week, the Press of Atlantic City speculates that Fieri will replace the recently shuttered Reserve steakhouse at Bally's with a steakhouse of his own. (Eater Philly has not yet received a response to requests for confirmation from the casino.) Fieri's restaurant could open as early as July.
These reports come just one month after the opening of Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar in Las Vegas' Quad resort and casino. (Bally's A.C. and the Quad are both owned by Caesars Entertainment.) There, as first revealed by Eater Vegas, guests are being treated to a menu of burgers, wings, various slathers and drizzles of donkey sauce and "wow-sabi cream," and a potato-chip-topped "huge mountain of cheesecake" dubbed Guy's Cheesecake Challenge. The restaurant, says one Vegas critic, is "better than you might expect."
In addition to the fusion-happy takes on American bar food served in Vegas and at Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in Times Square, his extensive portfolio includes Italian-ish Johnny Garlic's, barbecue-sushi mashup Tex Wasabi's, and Guy's Burger Joint, which exists solely on Carnival Cruise Lines.
There is literally no telling what he could do to a steakhouse.
