After a search that dates back to 2012, the Kensington Community Food Co-op announced this week that they've finally landed a space. The co-op's new home will be the former site of O'Reilly's Pub, at 2672 Coral Street.
Grid Philly has more details on the plans—which, in addition to groceries, include a cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a liquor license that will allow the co-op to sell beer to go or to drink at the cafe.
In other co-op news, the South Philly Food Co-op just recently hit the membership goal they'd set to begin working on securing a location of their own.
