Public House to Rebrand as City Tap House Logan Square

Expect industrial design elements married with the stone and wood familiar from the U City location, which sounds similar to City Tap House DC, seen here.

Public House will shut down on July 5 for a makeover, reports Michael Klein. Owners Brian Harrington and Gary Cardi plan to remake it in the image of one of their other properties, West Philly's City Tap House, and reopen in September.

The new City Tap House Logan Square will feature 40 taps (fewer than U City, which claims 60), an 18' x 9' "video wall," and tons of seats: 44 at the bar and 170 in the dining room. Harrington and Cardi also have a City Tap House outpost in D.C., which opened this past December. Interiors by Morrissey Design will echo the existing locations. It remains to be seen if the Public House crowd can be similarly made-over.
