Honeygrow Adds a Location; Bloomsday at McGillin's

RADNOR — Stirfry-and-salad specialist Honeygrow will open up another shop on Sunday, June 15. This Main Line location will be their third; the chain is reportedly looking for real estate for several more stores. [Philly.com]

HEADHOUSE SQUARE — Saturday, June 14, the Shambles at Headhouse will host the first annual Philly VegFest, a celebration of vegetarian and vegan cuisine sponsored by the Humane League. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., look for plenty of veg-friendly food vendors and samples, plus cooking demos by Vedge's Rich Landau, PBS host Christina Pirello, Rachel Klein of Miss Rachel's Pantry, and more. CENTER CITY — McGillin's will open bright and early at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 16 (they normally don't crack the doors until 11) for Bloomsday. From open until 4 p.m., they'll be reading aloud from James Joyce's Ulysses and serving a special Irish fry-up and $4 pints of O'Hara's Irish stout.
