Jen Carroll to Appear on Top Chef Duels

The latest addition to the Top Chef franchise, Top Chef Duels, will premiere August 6. The new show promises to pit former Top Chef and Top Chef Masters contestants against each other in a "gastronomic battle royale of epic proportions." Eater National has the lineup today, and it looks like Jen Carroll made the cut.

Philly native Carroll ran the show at mentor Eric Ripert's 10 Arts when she made her first appearance on Top Chef in season six. (Carroll left that kitchen in 2011; Ripert separated from 10 Arts in 2012.) She also appeared on Top Chef All-Stars and the non-competition follow-up series, Life After Top Chef.

Carroll will appear in episode seven, competing against Top Chef Texas contestant Nyesha Arrington. The winner of each episode moves on to the finale, where one chef will ultimately win $100,000. The show is hosted by Curtis Stone, who will also act as judge alongside Gail Simmons and a rotating cast of guest judges.
