Luscious Bakery, a new "brunch-inspired" truck, has been out on the streets for just over a week now. Owner Jamie Landers bills herself as an ex-rocket scientist (her LinkedIn profile lists a degree in aerospace engineering from Penn State and more than 12 total years spent in positions at Boeing and AGI) who switched gears last year to pursue baking full-time. While her truck just debuted last week, you may have run into Luscious Bakery at events like Philabundance's Cupcake Smash. (Along with Emily Watts, Landers also co-owns a venture called Boozy Buttercream, where she runs cupcake-decorating classes at bars.)
The Luscious Bakery menu regularly features a variety of baked goods, including savory tarts and quiches, sticky buns, biscuits, cookies, and more. You can check them out tonight from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Oval (where it looks like they'll be serving both blueberry and peach cobblers). Or, keep an eye out on Facebook and Twitter to track them down in other locations around town.
