Take a Look at the Renderings for Girard Brasserie

Girard Brasserie & Bruncherie, the upcoming project from Brian Oliveira and Christian Mora that promises to pay employees a living wage and eliminate tipping, has received the go-ahead from the zoning board and Fishtown Neighborhood Association. Renderings above and below show pop art-inspired design plans from Otto Architects, whose other work includes the upcoming Little Spoon and (with Assimilation Design Lab) the James Beard-nominated Tria Taproom.

The menu includes breakfast (with upgrades like duck ham and thoughtful veggie sides), a number of small plates and snacks, daily large-format specials, substantial salads, and a handful of entrees like piri piri chicken, a burger, and a croque-monsieur. There's a healthy complement of vegetarian options — one of the roasts-of-the-day is roasted cauliflower, even. (But will there be kale chips? Silly question; of course there will be kale chips.)
