Details were in short supply last month when Resurrection Ale House owners Leigh Maida and Brendan Hartranft announced plans to sell the bar to a pair of unnamed buyers. Now, a report from Meal Ticket has named the new owners as chef Andrew Wagner and bartender Marcus Versace.
Wagner's background includes time at Stephen Starr spots Jones and Continental Midtown, while Versace has tended bar at Las Vegas Lounge and Coco's. There are still no specifics on the new name or concept, but Versace told Meal Ticket, "We're planning on making the food and drink selections a little more accessible to the neighborhood, while maintaining the high standard which Brendan and Leigh created."
As we previously reported, the last day for Resurrection should be September 21. The plan is to change hands without any down time.
