Abe Fisher Has an Opening Date and Menu

Photo: Eater Philly

September 2 will be the official debut of Abe Fisher, the latest project from CookNSolo (Zahav, FedNuts, Dizengoff). Here, the restaurateurs are looking outside of Israel to spotlight foods of the Jewish diaspora, which translates to "everything from Montreal-style smoked meat and Ukrainian borscht to the American Jewish tradition of Chinese food on Christmas," according to Steve Cook.

The menu (which you'll find below) is made up of small plates divided into vegetable, fish, and meat categories — a $39 prix fixe option lets you pick one of each plus a dessert — that cover ground from borscht tartare to shrimp fried rice. There are also a couple of large-format options available: a three-course Hungarian duck tasting for two, and Montreal-style smoked short ribs for four.

Abe will be open for dinner nightly at 5 p.m. (Reservations are already live.) The Boxwood Architects-designed room seats 50 people, plus an additional ten seats at the full bar. (Boxwood also worked with CookNSolo on FedNuts and Dizengoff, and has done a number of designs for Jose Garces and Marcie Turney.)
