The reservation lines are now open for a special cookbook dinner at Vernick featuring chef Jamie Bissonnette, who took home this year's James Beard award for Best Chef: Northeast. On Monday, September 8, Bissonnette and chef-owner Greg Vernick will collaborate on a dinner to celebrate Bissonnette's forthcoming book, The New Charcuterie Cookbook.
Although Vernick is originally from Cherry Hill, he went to college and came up as a chef in Boston, working for Bissonnette's current partner, Ken Oringer. (Vernick GM Ryan Mulholland also worked for Oringer for years.)
Bissonnette's book doesn't officially come out until September 16, but a copy is included in the price of the dinner ($115 per person, with an optional beverage pairing for $35). The evening starts with hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., followed by a multi-course dinner. Call for reservations.
