Matt and Colleen Swartz are being sued by 35 former employees for unpaid wages, reports the Insider today. The plaintiffs are seeking "well over $100,000" in total, and were employed at the Farmers' Cabinet, Sutton's Parlor, and Logan Goat. The Swartzes' Grainery Restaurant Group and "other individuals believed to have had ownership interest in the Grainery Group restaurants" are also named as defendants.
Attorney Henry Yampolsky of Galfand Berger, who filed the suit in conjunction with the Restaurant Opportunities Center of Philadelphia, said in a press release that the "individual damages range from just a few hundred dollars to over $10,000."
The Swartzes recently faced a judgment of $1.3 million in favor of their former Farmers' Cabinet landlord, and the Insider's report indicates that they also currently face a lawsuit in New Jersey. (If you're sensing a theme, check out Victor Fiorillo in 2011 reporting on the number of lawsuits the couple had already faced.)
