West Philly's Marigold Kitchen, which shuttered in June when former chef-owner Rob Halpern left to move out west, has set a reopening date of Thursday, September 25. The new owners are Tim Lanza and Andrew Kochan, formerly Halpern's chefs de cuisine, who have kept on exec Keith Krajewski.
When they reopen next week, Michael Klein reports, the tasting menu format will remain, at $90 for 14 courses — and yes, there will still be savory dippin' dots involved. Teasers on their Facebook page also include french onion ravioli. Reservations are live at OpenTable.
