Chef Marcie Turney today shared this glorious, circa-1950 shot of The Spot, the Ripon, Wisconsin restaurant owned by her grandparents, Bud and Marilyn Briese. Consider it inspiration for Bud & Marilyn's, the classic American eatery Turney and partner Valerie Safran hope to open by the end of this year at 13th and Locust.
