It wasn't too long ago that we told you about the Jose Andres fast-casual concept coming to Philly, specifically the University of Pennsylvania. And now, even more good news for Penn students: they're getting their very own Spread Bagelry.
The popular Rittenhouse bagel shop has been known to draw long lines on weekends, but many claim that the Montreal-style bagels are worth the wait. The new location (what used to be Pizza Rustica at 3602 Chestnut Street) will continue to replicate the Montreal-style recipe: boiled in honey water, baked in a wood-fired oven. And, as opposed to its first location, there will be a beer and wine menu to up its brunch game.
The opening is scheduled for March 2016, at the latest. Check back for updates.
