Last night, we heard word that P.Y.T., one of the Piazza's "Founding Fathers", has shut its doors. After a quick jaunt to Northern Liberties, a working staff-member confirmed the news, while breaking down the outside patio seating .
A few moments later, a text from P.Y.T. owner Tommy Up[degrove] shot over the EaterWire:
Up, who recently brought his burgers all the way to London, is opening an outpost of P.Y.T. in New York City, 334 Bowery Street, this Thursday. And from the looks of it, we know Corey and Shawn would've loved the place.
As for Philly, he's moving P.Y.T. to Live Nation's new concert venue, The Fillmore.
