Tredici Enoteca opens this evening across from its sister restaurant, Zavino. After a bit of delay, Zavino Hospitality Group's Mediterranean wine bar and restaurant finished up its build-out last week, now boasting high ceilings, a glossy marble bar, and white oak floors.
Chef Carlos Aparicio's menu, below, will not be confined to a specific region, rather pulling from all over the Mediterranean, from Italy with Pork Milanese to the Middle East with za'atar spiced crispy chicken, and even Moroccan-spiced ribs, albeit not-so-Moroccan being that they're pork ribs.
Wine tasting is encouraged at the enoteca ("enoteca" literally translates to
"wine repository"), the menu is broken into half-pours at 3.17 oz. and full-pours at 6.34 oz. — notably heavy-handed compared to the 3 and 5 ounce standard pours around the city. Both Tredici and sister-restaurant Zavino will be running a "Champagne Campaign" for the entire month of December: a dollar of every Vueve Rosé and Moët Brut sold will be donated to the MS Society.
Hours are 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday for dinner, with lunch starting in January. The menus are below, look for an Eater Inside later this week.
