Holiday Beer Events Happening In Philadelphia

Gingerbread Jesus is released, Belgian Beer Dinner at Monk's, and Santa comes to Frankford Hall.

LAFAYETTE HILL — On December 4, from 6 - 10 p.m., Barren Hill Tavern and Brewery is hosting a release party for their Mexican hot chocolate-inspired beer called Gingerbread Jesus, a collaboration brew with Father Kirk of St Timothy's Episcopal Church. If you bring an un-wrapped toy to be donated, you get a free beer. [EaterWire]

RITTENHOUSEMonk's Cafe chef Michael Joyce put together a seven course dinner to pair with eight rare and exceptional beers for Tom Peter's 23rd Annual Holiday Beer Dinner happening next Tuesday, December 8. FISHTOWN — The ever-popular beer garden in Fishtown, Frankford Hall, will be hosting a few events with Santa this year:

  • December 5th-6th, 12th-13th and 19th-20th: Santa will visit from 11:30AM-3:30 PM. Guests will receive goodie bags, enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and listen to live performances by The Lara & Joe Show, who will be playing anytime Santa's there.
  • December 12th from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Frankford Hall and Bell's Brewery present "Deck the Hall & Rock the Bells" where they'll release Bell's ever-popular Christmas Ale and Winter White Ale. Live performances from Philadelphia Handbell Ensemble will be in-house to perform Christmas favorites and rock & roll tunes live while Santa will be posing for pictures and handing out "Naughty & Nice" adult goodie bags.
