The Farm and Fisherman Hosts Urban Roots Farms; Dining For Life Fundraiser With Philly's All-Star Chefs

WASHINGTON SQUARE WEST — This Sunday, January 3, The Farm and Fisherman is hosting chef-turned-farmer Jack Goldenberg, founder of Urban Roots Farm, for a prix fixe vegetable-driven collaboration dinner. The menu, here, will feature fresh produce from Jack's farms, located in various small plots around the city. NEW JERSEY — Wednesday, January 19, head to Valenzano Winery for Dining for Life's Tasting and Fundraiser, a collaborative event raising funds for the Martinez family of Southampton, New Jersey, hit by tragedy after their two-year-old son and eighteen-year-old daughter were killed, and three other victims critically wounded, in a pedestrian crash on August 18. Food will come from an all-star chef line-up, including: Kevin Sbraga (Sbraga, The Fat Ham, Sbraga & Company), Brad Spence (Amis, Vetri Family), Josh Lawler (The Farm and Fisherman), and Greg Vernick (Vernick Food + Drink), among others. Additionally, there will be a silent auction, live entertainment, and complimentary wine and beer. Tickets are $75 for general admission, and $150 for VIP admission.
