Nom Wah Philly Will Be Stuffing You Full of Dim Sum Any Minute Now

The NYC dim sum import has its final inspection next week.

Wilson Tang, owner of forthcoming Nom Wah Tea Parlor, today shared a video tour of the completed kitchen of his Chinatown dim sum shop, plus news that its final inspection will happen next week. If all goes according to plan, the posts announces that soft opening should begin "after Chinese New Year." The Lunar New Year falls on February 19 this year, so while the phrasing is technically vague (the attendant festival runs through early March and, strictly speaking, a gaping, terrifying expanse of time falls "after" Chinese New Year), it looks like Nom Wah's debut could be just around the corner.

Nom Wah Tea Parlor, 218 North 13th Street, opening winter 2015.
