After a few delays, BonChon will celebrate the grand opening of its first Philadelphia location in a matter of days: A soft opening is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, with the official grand opening set to coincide with Chinese New Year — Thursday, February 19.

The South Korean chain has a cultish following for its twice-fried chicken tossed in spicy or soy-garlic glazes, but the menu also includes other Korean specialties (including bibimbap, seafood pancakes, and japchae) as well as snacks ranging from french fries to Japanese street-food staples like takoyaki and okonomiyaki.

BonChon will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the soft opening on February 18; hours will expand to 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Thursday, February 19. Lunch specials run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week.

BonChon, 1020 Cherry Street, opening February 19.
