NEWBOLD — The first 60 customers to drop into South Philly Tap Room on Tuesday, February 10 starting at 6 p.m. can claim a free burger and a Kenzinger, courtesy of Daryl Rineer of Rineer Family Farms. Rineer raises the grass-fed beef (among other products) used by SPTR on his family's Lancaster County farm. (You've probably seen their stand at farmer's markets at Rittenhouse Square or inside Suburban Station.) [Facebook]
QUEEN VILLAGE — Kennett announced this weekend via Twitter that they would undergo a change in management. Today, the Insider confirms that owners Johnny Della Polla and Ashley Bohan are out (following some legal and financial troubles); the restaurant remains open for business as usual though the long-term outlook is unclear. (Chef Brian Ricci had already left in favor of a role at forthcoming Brick & Mortar.) [Twitter/Philly.com]
PHILADELPHIA — We may still be a few weeks out from Pliny the Younger season here in Philly, but we're right in the thick of sightings of beloved DIPA Bell's Hopslam. As usual, Philly Tap Finder is on top of things — check out their roundup of tappings here and follow them on Twitter for of-the-minute additions. [TapTalk]
