Rarely seen beers and bad ideas.

BELLA VISTA — Bainbridge Street Barrel House will tap a couple of rarely seen beers from Vermont's excellent Hill Farmstead on Thursday, March 12. They'll start pouring at noon alongside a number of other notable beers; get 'em while they're there. [Drink Philly]

SOUTH STREET — Füchschen Altbier will make its US debut at noon this Saturday, March 14 at Brauhaus Schmitz. Füchschen owner Peter Konig will be there for the launch, and Brauhaus chef Jeremy Nolen will serve a special menu throughout the weekend honoring Dusseldorf, where the beer is brewed. (Specials will include blood sausage, Rhineland-style mussels, and more.) [EaterWire]

BAD IDEA WIRE — One of our favorite things about Federal Donuts is that they're not afraid to publicly own up to their failed experiments, such as this "everything bagel" glaze that, quite frankly, we still would've liked to try. (Hey, the creators of the "Frenagel" thought the idea was good enough!) [Twitter]
