Brick and Mortar's New Sign Goes Up With a BAM

Ampersands are so 2014, anyway.

Signage is up at Brick & Mortar, and it certainly makes a statement. While the logo we've seen elsewhere incorporates an ampersand, this wrap-around design would've lost more than a little impact without spelling out its conjunction.

bricknmortarlogo.0.pngThe American bar and restaurant from Franklin Mortgage alum Mike Welsh seems to be moving along, about a month out from their originally projected opening date. A new anchor for the Goldtex building that aims to provide the loft district with a solid neighborhood hang, the restaurant will feature the talents of chef Brian Ricci (formerly of Kennett) and head bartender Christina Rando (another Franklin alum).

Still no firm word on a new opening date, but with signs going up and a moody hemlock bar top already installed, the debut should be coming up soon.
