Sizzli-slinging miracle Wawa is again ready to invest in Center City with a prime new location at Broad and Walnut streets, reports Michael Klein for Philly.com. A spokesperson for the convenience store told Klein that the site is currently under contract, with hopes to announce official plans in time for Wawa Day — better known to some of us as April 16.
The site is the former home of Robinson Luggage, which boasts more than 5,000 square feet of space. A source told Philly.com that the new Wawa will incorporate indoor seating, for those who feel that Wawa's biggest flaw is that you don't get to spend enough time inside one.
