Before the popular Night Market food-truck festival season kicks off this year, the Food Trust is introducing a one-off event called Flight Market at the Linc. Just like Night Market, there will be a dizzying array of mobile food vendors and entertainment, and proceeds will benefit the Food Trust. Unlike Night Market, this one takes place in the middle of the day and involves the Eagles cheerleaders and field tours.
The family-friendly event is scheduled for Sunday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you buy them by March 31, tickets are $12 and include an entry into a raffle for Eagles tickets and other prizes; on April 1, they'll go up to $15 and you won't be eligible to win anything but perhaps the affection of whoever else you buy them for. (Children under 10 will be admitted for free and there's no charge for parking. Once you're in, it's pay-as-you-go at the trucks.)
They're promising more than 50 food trucks (including, of course, Eagles star Brent Celek's Prime Stache truck), a flea market, live music, kid-friendly activities, and appearances from the Eagles mascot, who we're a little embarrassed to admit we just learned has an actual name. (It's Swoop.)
