While the days of continual sell-outs and early closures are thankfully behind us, it remains a sad fact of life that no Federal Donuts location has ever been open past 7 p.m. Fair enough, but it does make for some forlorn faces when inevitable fried chicken and doughnut cravings creep in around 10 p.m. Luckily, thanks to finals week, Philly is about to get a temporary reprieve from that sad fate with some extended hours.
On April 17 and 18, and again from April 30 through May 8, FedNuts promises to keep their West Philly location open until 11 p.m. The gesture is meant to provide University City with some much-needed caffeine and calories to fuel the semester's final push — but with no need to flash a student ID and delivery available via Caviar, we can see no reason not to take advantage of the situation for whatever reason you can find. (For delivery, be sure to order by 10:30 p.m.)
