Welcome to Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, a visit to Sketch Burger at noon on a Monday, for Burger Week.

When Phyllis Farquhar opened Sketch Burger in 2008, Philly's burger scene and the restaurant's Fishtown neighborhood both looked very different. Sketch has since become an anchor of both, and continues to turn out some of the city's favorite burgers, fries, and shakes from a tiny and undeniably cheerful space that exudes wit and art.
Eater sent photographer Stephen Dyer to capture Sketch during a typical weekday lunch service, where a steady flow of eat-in and takeout business (handled by Farquhar and cook John Shelar) begins right after the doors open, showing the restaurant's status as a true neighborhood staple.
