Scheduled to open on Friday, May 22 (aka Memorial Day weekend), the second season of Spruce Street Harbor Park is looking even better than the first — especially when it comes to the food. Foobooz has all the details on what's new this year, and here are a few highlights:

Federal Donuts is setting up shop on the boardwalk at the park, selling fried chicken sandwiches that are already the breakout hit of summer 2015 in Philly, and they're not even available yet. They'll also be serving cold-brew iced coffee and bags of mini cinnamon-sugar donuts.
Shane Confectionery/Franklin Fountain
Ice cream specialist Franklin Fountain will gets its own recycled-shipping-container shop, serving ice cream waffle sandwiches and much more, while Shane Confectionery will set up at the new-this-year rollerskating rink at the Lodge. Look for shore-style staples like cotton candy, popcorn, salt water taffy, and fudge.
Chifa
The Garces Group and its beloved burgers from Village Whiskey are back (available at the Lodge at Summerfest), but they're expanding way beyond that for 2015 at SSHP, with several new options including a revival of Peruvian-Chinese greatest hits from dearly departed Chifa.
