Chef Anne Coll IN at the Whip Tavern

Looks like chef Anne Coll won't be opening Susanna Foo's forthcoming Center City restaurant after all: Coll has switched tracks to take up the executive position at Whip Tavern in Coatesville, reports the Insider.

Coll ended a lauded five-year run at Meritage last spring to join up with Foo, her former boss, who plans a return to Center City with Suga, slated to open this fall. But the chef reportedly quit last month after a stint at Foo's Radnor restaurant, and will officially take over the kitchen at the Whip next week. Look for an expanded menu to follow at the British pub.
