Tickets Now on Sale for Eli Kulp Fundraiser at Fork

The event will raise money toward medical expenses for the chef injured in May's Amtrak derailment.

Details have now been set for Fork restaurant's fundraiser for its chef and co-owner, Eli Kulp, currently in recovery from a severe spinal cord injury sustained in May's tragic Amtrak derailment in Port Richmond. Featuring food and drink from top Philly chefs and other industry friends as well as a silent auction, the event will be held at Fork on Thursday, July 16.

That date was declared Eli Kulp Day by Mayor Nutter in 2014, marking Kulp's Best New Chefs win from Food & Wine magazine.

Since the crash, family, fans, and industry friends (in Philly and beyond) have rallied to support Kulp through his recovery. In addition to a GoFundMe appeal that has raised over $32,000 dollars, there was a fundraising dinner earlier this month at Helm, as well as a collab benefit event in Houston that included another Best New Chef 2014, Justin Yu of Oxheart. All of the funds raised will aid Kulp and his family with ongoing medical expenses.

The impressive roster for the event at Fork includes A.Kitchen + Bar, American Sardine Bar, Amis, Blackfish, Cuba Libre, Eclat Chocolate, Fork, Franklin Fountain, High Street on Market, Kanella, Lacroix, Laurel, Le Cheri, Madame Fromage, Pub + Kitchen, Rival Brothers, Sbraga, Serpico, Vernick Food & Drink, Volver, Will BYOB, Zahav, and Zeppoli. Tickets are $200 for general admission, or $350 with access to the earlier VIP reception; there's also any option to make an additional donation. Tickets and full details here.
