ALL OVER — Every Friday in August (i.e., beginning tomorrow, August 7), you can score a free 12-ounce cold brew iced coffee at all Philly-area Saxbys locations. This is the second year they're running the promotion, in conjunction with Visit Philly. 13 Saxbys stores are participating, around the city and as far away as Bethlehem; here's a full list of locations that are participating in the giveaway.

QUEEN VILLAGE — Beer Love, a new bottle shop and tasting room, opened over the weekend at 714 S. Fourth St. (just below Bainbridge) in Queen Village. They've got hundreds of bottles, as well as eight taps if you want to sit down for a pint or flight or grab a growler fill. They're not making any food, but the Insider reports there are some snacks for purchase and you can bring in outside food if you wish.

FAIRMOUNT — Prolific Rome-based food and drink expert and author Katie Parla will host a special happy hour at Alla Spina on Saturday, August 8, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. They'll be pouring some great Italian craft brews and a couple of rare locals to go with a menu of Roman street foods, all on a pay-as-you-go basis. To whet your appetite, check out this guide to Roman street food Parla recently wrote for Eater you might not be making it to Rome anytime soon, but many of the specialties she writes about provide the inspiration for the special menu for this weekend's event.
