Square Pie Reopens Today in Its New Home

The pizzeria has made the move into the former Cochon space.

It's been about a month since Gene and Amy Giuffi shuttered Cochon, with plans to relocate their nearby pizzeria, Square Pie, from its tiny corner spot at Sixth and Catherine into the newly free space. Today, the pizza shop is ready to go in its new digs, with lunch beginning at noon.

The Cochon space got a quick makeover before the pizza oven and other equipment made the short trip over during Square Pie's usual days off. It sounds like the phone company was the only one that couldn't keep to the tight schedule, so you won't be able to call in a takeout order just yet. Otherwise, expect things to carry on much as usual, with lunch (noon to 2 p.m.) and dinner (5 to 9 p.m.) served five days a week (closed Sunday and Monday), now in a roomier location.

Square Pie, now at 801 E. Passyunk Ave., (215) 238-0615, now open.
