Heirloom Closes After a Three Year Run

Another one down for Philly's BYOB scene.

Yelp: Heirloom

Foobooz reported today that Heirloom, the beloved Chestnut Hill BYOB, quietly closed its doors two weekends ago, according to an announcement posted on its website. Even though the restaurant's closure came as quite a surprise to us, Heirloom's employees landed on their feet at owner Al Paris's other establishments: Paris Bistro, Green Soul, or the brand new SOUTH on N. Broad Street.

Paul Martin, previously Heirloom's executive chef, is actually running the show at SOUTH, bringing Heirloom's flavors and ingredients with him, e.g., Benton's bacon, Carolina Gold rice, Anson Mills grits — notable mentions in both Craig Laban's and Trey Popp's two bell and two star reviews.
