Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, a “modern day pizza joint” backed by one of the best pro-basketball players of our generation, opened its second location in Philadelphia today at 3400 Lancaster Avenue on Drexel University’s campus (the first is across town on Temple’s campus). The concept, much like &pizza’s which opened last week, is 180-second, fast-casual pizzas built to-order, the main difference being the oven they use: &pizza utilizes a rolling, conveyor oven; Blaze opts for flame-kissed pies, hence the “Fast-Fire’d”. The menu is typical: signature creations, build-your-own options, salads, and one dessert: s'more pie.
Inside, the shop seats around 65, and hours go from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, and till midnight on weekends. All day tomorrow, October 21, anybody following Blaze on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat get a free pie, so get ready to stand in line.
