Center City's Harp & Crown is Downright Restaurant Eye Candy

Yet another knock-out from Michael Schulson and company

Take a look around Harp & Crown, the new American restaurant and bar by the Schulson Collective, the same team behind other such Philly stunners as Double Knot, Sampan, and Independence Beer Garden. It's vintage luxury by design (courtesy of Rohe Creative) — an elegant mashup between raw and refined, both exposed and elegant, all details considered. Upstairs, it's a saloon: 140 seats, plus a 32-seat wraparound bar, full of mismatched chairs, tufted leather, and high-hanging chandeliers. In the basement, Elbow Lane as it's called, the ceilings are low, the lights dimmed even lower, it's a cave where the crack of a ball hitting pins and the crack of an ice hitting tin are both one in the same.
