CENTER CITY — City Hall’s Dilworth Park just announced its food and drink situation for the 2016-17 winter season. After you’re done ice skating on the Rothman Rink, enjoy hearty cold weather dishes like waffle-fry poutine, tomato soup, burgers, chili, and funnel cake inside The Cabin. The full bar will also host a Wednesday happy hour from 5 - 7 p.m. with $5 Jim Beam Apple and Effen Blood Orange Vodka cocktails, $4 wine, and $3 Sam Adams drafts. More details here. [Foobooz]

BALA CYNWYD — The Honeygrow on City Avenue will close temporarily for renovations on November 23 at 7 p.m according to a report by Philly.com. Everything from the kitchen to the lighting will be more efficient once it reopens in early 2017, but before it’s gone, on Monday-Tuesday, November 21-22, every hundredth customer will receive a $15 gift card with purchase, and on Wednesday, November 23, in the hours before it closes, any guests who spend $20 or more will get a honeygrow tote bag. NORTHERN LIBERTIES Carolynn Angle, the chef at NoLibs’s venerable gastropub Standard Tap, is leaving her head-chef post after a 16-year run on November 18. She told Philly.com, "It's not the place; it's just me." Her decision stemmed from growing “weary with the industry” and a need for more family-time in her personal life. Current sous chef and proponent of whole animal cooking Joel Mazigian will replace Angle, so look out for housemade sausages and house-cured meats to find their way onto the Tap’s chalkboard menus.
