Nitro coffee is so 2015. This year, it's all about the draft latte, and Di Bruno Bros. is ahead of the game. For the first time ever, La Colombe will offer their draft coffee outside of their own Philadelphia cafés; it's now available at Rittenhouse's Di Bruno Bros. store (18th and Chestnut Streets) for your every day consumption.
Don't know what a draft latte is? Well, get acquainted with it. La Colombe CEO Todd Carmichael plans to take over the canned coffee market with these lattes, going head-to-head with Starbucks's canned Frappuccino. When prompted about a potential canned latte release date, Carmichael responded, "Soon."
It's hard not to speculate about the partnership with Di Bruno Bros. Maybe it's a sign of things to come? Perhaps Philly's beloved boutique grocer is gearing up to be La Colombe's first retail outlet when the cans are finally unveiled.
