Sometime this summer, in what used to be Wolf's Market (its sign read "Food Bazaar") at 1500 Locust Street, Teddy Sourias will open his fourth bar and restaurant, Cinder.
Sourias, the mind behind Bru Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, and Uptown Beer Garden, intends for his fourth to be his first food-forward concept, complete with a custom wood-fired pizza oven, mussels, small plates for sharing, and as always, cheese and charcuterie, pairing nicely with Cinder's copper-clad pipe tap rotating 30 craft ciders, sours, and wild ales.
Restaurant design will be led by Sourias and his brother Dmitri with the help of Masterminds Agency. The space will include both indoor and outdoor seating, totaling to around 75-100 seats. Appropriate to neighborhood, Cinder will be open from lunch to 2 a.m., including a weekday happy hour and weekend brunch.
Right now, Sourias is still in heavy-construction mode (from the looks of the picture above), but stay tuned for pictures and menus closer to opening.
