Day 2 of one of Philly's greatest food events, Drexel University's Philly Chef Conference, is happening all day today, March 7, with a full agenda from now until 5 p.m.
Here's a little primer, but for the uninitiated, the Philly Chef Conference is a restaurant industry event, filled with many of the brilliant minds that make up Philly's food scene. It's not so much a party as it is an educational event where industry-insight trumps batched cocktails. It's where chefs come to demonstrate their culinary prowess; where real estate experts show us why a restaurant's location is key; where conversations regarding the industry's state of affairs is a welcome discussion, and of course, a warranted one. At 5:30, the party continues at Pub & Kitchen.
If you're in the industry, head over to 101 N. 33rd Street, some tickets are still available at the door. If you can't make it, Eater Philly will keep you posted on on Twitter, Instagram (via #phillychefconference), and, new today, catch the action live on Periscope (keep a lookout on Twitter for the link).
