In just a few weeks — maybe early May — chef Dean Leevongcharoen will open his second edition of Ramen Bar smack in the middle of Drexel University's campus at 3400 Lancaster Avenue, inside The Summit building.
Leevongcharoen tells Eater that it will all be very similar to his first restaurant (4040 Locust Street) — the same menu that landed itself on Food & Wine's Best New Ramen Shop list, the same hours 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m., 11p.m. on weekends, and a full bar rocking a weekday happy hour from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
With Ramen Bar's impending opening on Lancaster Avenue, University City will soon own a collection of, count 'em, six spots to satiate your ramen fix: Leevongcharoen's first Ramen Bar, Nom Nom Ramen, Cozara, Pod, and even Korean/Japanese eatery Tampopo, all offering their own version of the signature noodle soup.
