Philly Gets a Fancy, New Rooftop Bar: Assembly Opens Next Week

Champagne and Parkway views make for a luxe drinking experience

From the folks who brought you Urban FarmerThe Logan Hotel's farmer-chic steakhouse, comes Assembly, its rooftop bar sibling with sweeping views of the Ben Franklin Parkway, opening next Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m.

Unlike another Philly hotel's rooftop bar, Assembly will showcase unobstructed vistas of the Parkway landscape, its walls made of glass for an uninterrupted sight-seeing experience. The bar has both a sprawling outdoor terrace and a smaller indoor space, so no matter the weather or season, the rooftop is always open.

Assembly's focus is on sparkling wines: top shelf champagnes poured by the glass (Veuve and Möet rosé among them), sparkling cocktails on draft (few drinks are better to enjoy outdoors than French 75s or Aperol Spritzes), and of course, a vast bottle collection. Food is meant to pair: raw oysters, bright citrus and ricotta toasts, tuna tartare, and other summertime snacks.

After this Thursday's grand opening, Assembly will be open daily from 5 p.m. to close, and on weekends, they open at 3 p.m. with live music and DJs playing through the evening.
