Check Out the Stunning Views at Assembly, Philly's New Rooftop Bar

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire

This Thursday, April 28, Assembly will open nine stories above the Ben Franklin Parkway, atop The Logan Hotel, providing the Logan Square neighborhood with panoramic views, an extensive sparkling wine list, and swanky lounge seating complete with roaring fire pits.

The scenic views extend from City Hall to the east, Philadelphia Museum of Art to the west, and the fountain at Logan Square smack in the middle — the star of the show. It's a brilliant scene, and combined with a bar specializing in sparkling wine, namely champagne, the rooftop bar is looking to be a sure hit this summer.

Towards the back, small, cushioned lounge areas offer up a sort of semi-private drinking experience. Next to them, a white marble bar gets illuminated from underneath, creating a neat glowing, moth-to-flame effect. But as luxe as the place is, it won't take itself too seriously. Next to a bottle of '98 Krug Brut Champagne, look for spinning frozen drink machines, piping extra-boozy, sparkling-topped, slushy margaritas. They're dangerously easy-drinking, outstandingly refreshing, and by the time the real summer heat rolls around, Assembly will be all the better for serving it.

Stay tuned for menus.
