Chef Val Strejewski goes around town, pops into kitchens and just makes them better, even if they were good to begin with. He did it at Lloyd Whiskey Bar, then again at Happy Rooster. After a brief stint in Kensington Quarters's butcher shop last year, Strejewski moved within the 13th Street Kitchens company to Prohibition Taproom, where he's recently launched a new spring menu, here.
Additionally, Prohibition teamed up with Yards Brewing for an exclusive, always-available beer called Hoppy Lil Hudson, named after Michael and Jeniphur Pasquarello's daughter, Hudson. It's a hop-heavy, 7% ABV English IPA.
Things to elevate your Prohibition Taproom experience:
- On Tuesday, May 10, from 5 p.m. - midnight, hit up ProTap for the second rendition of PhoTap, a $10 pho (lamb or ramp and onion) + beer deal (Trauger Pils or Highwater Hefeweizen)
- Sunday brunch is now DJ'd affair called Beats & Eggs with various genres of music bumping from 11 - 3:30 p.m.
- Sundays through Thursdays are industry nights (11 p.m. to close, kitchen is open till 1 a.m.), so that's 20% knocked off your check.
- Bring your own vinyl to spin on Sunday evenings, and that's 20% knocked off your check.
