Greenstreet Coffee Company, one of Philadelphia's premier coffee roasters, is opening a second cafe location, this one less than a block off East Passyunk Avenue at 1134 Dickinson Street.
Co-owner Tom Molieri told Eater Philly the cafe is projected to open within the first two weeks of July, and while the concept is just the same as its 11th and Spruce Street location, aesthetically, the Dickinson Street address will be "night and day."
Four or five times the size, the new location will offer more seating—around 25 seats inside, compared to the 12 or so at the other spot—with extended outdoor seating and a dedicated "slow" (pour-over) bar.
Tom and his brother Chris hope to bring the same high-quality, responsibly and transparently sourced coffee to the neighborhood (roasted nearby in Point Breeze), for those interested in that sort of thing. And for those who just want a regular, ol' cup o' joe? Well, at Greenstreet, they're one in the same.
Something to note: Greenstreet will join another local roaster in the 'hood with Rival Bros. opening its second location just a stone's throw away.
