HEADHOUSE SQUARE — Headhouse's southern-inspired restaurant, bar, and music venue, Twisted Tail, welcomes back chef Leo Forneas, who left his post to open Double Knot with Michael Schulson and Kevin Yanaga. Now that the chef is back, he's firing up the charcoal grill, and slapping on some new menu items (octopus, lamb chops, and wild boar) and incorporating a new small plates section of the menu. Owner and barkeep George Reilly is stoked to have Forneas back in the kitchen, "Leo comes in with a full understanding of who we are from day one."
AVENUE OF THE ARTS — After an extensive renovation, the Hyatt at the Bellevue on-boarded a new chef de cuisine for its 19th floor restaurant, XIX Nineteen: Ned Maddock. Previously, Maddock was running the kitchen as executive sous at Marc Vetri's Navy Yard restaurant, Lo Spiedo, before moving on to the South Broad Street restaurant famous for its top-of-the-tower views. The menu promises to stick to its modern-American roots, now with the infusion of Maddock's love for simple, seasonal cooking.
