PHILADELPHIA -- The wait list is open for this year's Diner en Blanc, which will occur at a secret location on August 18. To celebrate its 5th anniversary in Philly, the mysterious dinner where everyone wears white, packs a picnic and finds out where to go minutes before the start time will increase capacity to 5,000 and showcase two new caterers. RITTENHOUSE SQUARE -- The one and only George Perrier will cook a five-course Provencal dinner on June 16 at Crow and the Pitcher, an establishment where he's frequently spotted. RITTENHOUSE SQUARE -- Lacroix executive chef Jon Chichon will usher in summer at 7 p.m. on June 21 by hosting his first pop-up, in the courtyard of The Rittenhouse. He's calling the one-night outdoor space "Aubergine," and will fill its tables primarily with seasonal produce served family-style on small plates. Beer and wine are included in the $50 ticket, as are tax and tip. WEST PHILADELPHIA -- Beginning June 21 and continuing every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through August, Marigold Kitchen diners can participate in this season of Marigold Test Kitchens. Each night, chefs will prepare what they're calling an "experimental menu" consisting exclusively of ingredients either foraged in the wild or at local farmers markets. Through the 5-8 courses, staff will explain the concepts behind the dishes and where the ingredients came from. $65 tickets (plus tax and tip) include the food and chats with co-chef/owners Andrew Kochan and Tim Lanza.
