Norris and Debbie Jordan, owners of the popular Center City bar Happy Rooster, will open their new restaurant Lou Bird's at 500 South 20th Street sometime next month.
The Jordans quietly picked up one of Philly's brightest young talents to run the Lou BIrd-kitchen: Natalie Maronski, formerly Jose Garces's right-hand-woman and chef de cuisine of both Volvér and The Olde Bar. "The food will be Philadelphia affordable yet fanciful," says Norris.
A tight menu of ten appetizers and eight-ish entrées will feed 74 seats (including the bar). Reservations will be made through Reserve.
Look out for a weekday happy hour and weekend brunch.
