Right now, we're in the eye of the rolled ice cream storm sweeping through Philly, what with Sweet Charlie's up and running in Washington Square West, Ice Land in Chinatown, plus the big chain shop I.CE.NY opening a Philly outpost in Chinatown Square. This weekend, Philly gets another rolled ice cream shop, Teassert Bar, at 227 North 10th Street (directly across the street from Ice Land).
Owner Stephen Ngo just concluded the soft-opening stage of his Chinatown dessert shop, and with the grand opening scheduled for this weekend (July 29-31), he's offering a special Day 1-promotion: buy-one-get-one bubble teas and ice creams.
Ngo also owns the Royal Tea Truck, a bubble tea truck usually found on Drexel University's campus.
Store hours go from 11 a.m. to midnight on weekends, and until 11 p.m. on weekdays.
